WHISTLING COYOTE CHICKEN & PORK RUB

October 2, 2018
It's been busy this summer. In July, we expanded into the Ontario and Quebec markets with our foodservice packs, jazzing up top chef plates with exciting flavours. They are having a blast playing with them. The response by these chefs has been incredible and has really shown us we are onto something with these blends.
If you find you're going through a huge amount of spice and want to purchase 2.5 kg amounts for yourselves (they are not just for chefs!) or to share with friends, contact me at hello@beakitchenhero.com.
By now you'll have opened your package
and have seen our new look!
I've been interacting with thousands of customers since Be a Kitchen Hero Premium Spice Blends & Rubs started on Dec 6, 2017. At cooking demos and tastings, I've watched how they have reacted to the bottles and search for a specific product. I've paid attention to which ones they gravitate to, and listened to what our Kitchen Heroes are saying about the spices, the bottles and the labels. In all honesty, the feedback has been uniformly positive. So why change?
Despite the great feedback - I thought we could do better. I felt the labels were too cluttered, the crazy product names not prominent enough and overall, a tad confusing.
The thing that resonated the most with our Kitchen Heroes were the names - Burnt Canoe, Rusty Sled, Flaming Toque etc. So, why not emphasize those! It was sad the say goodbye to our clever heroes - but heck, it's really YOU who are the Heroes! The new label has been dramatically simplified; now you can see them from halfway across the grocery store! I hope you enjoy and find it easier to find them in your cupboard.
A Warm and Cozy Spice Perfect for Fall!
October couldn't be a better month to release Whistling Coyote! Exotic warm spices like cinnamon and cumin come together in this sweet/salty blend to wrap your kitchen in a warm cozy blanket. Don't hold back on this one - you can really pile it on! Absolutely amazing on pulled chicken and pork; it's also terrific on roasted squash and sweet potato. And be sure to try the Cinnamon/Cumin Chicken with Maple Whisky BBQ Sauce below - Wow!
Play with it and you'll probably come up with some really fun ways to use this blend. BTW - you can use any leftover pulled pork and chicken to top nachos, add to tacos and enchiladas, dress up a baked potato, jazz up pasta and soup, or of course, pile on a bun or into a sandwich.
Below are the recipes for this month. I've given you two brownie recipes - one with gluten and without - but I tell you, the GF one is really amazing.
